Three Perth AI startups secured AUD 32 million in combined seed and Series A funding during June 2026, with the capital earmarked for household productivity applications that mirror broader moves by companies like OpenAI.
The timing aligns with OpenAI’s push to embed ChatGPT deeper into family routines, creating immediate openings for regional developers who can deliver localised versions of those tools before larger players dominate the market.
The deals trace directly to activity at the Innovation Central Perth facility on Rokeby Road in Subiaco, where two of the funded teams completed final diligence meetings, and to a separate investor day hosted by Startup WA at a venue on William Street in Northbridge last month. Both locations have become regular stops for interstate and overseas funds scanning for early-stage AI talent outside Sydney and Melbourne.
State government data released 3 July 2026 shows Perth startups attracted AUD 47 million in the first half of the year, a 41 percent rise from the same period in 2025, with average round sizes reaching AUD 8.2 million. The three June transactions accounted for the largest single-month total recorded since tracking began in 2022.
Founders now preparing follow-on rounds should register for the next Perth Tech Alliance briefing scheduled for 22 July at the State Library of Western Australia on Cathedral Avenue, where term-sheet templates and local investor contacts will be shared.
